Pediatric Home Health Nursing

Licensed nurses who care for your child at home, following the plan your child’s doctors set. From medications and breathing treatments to tube feedings and daily monitoring, our nurses bring hospital-level skill into the comfort of your home, so your child can heal, grow and spend more time with family.

What is Pediatric Home Health Nursing?

Pediatric home health nursing brings a licensed nurse (an RN or LVN) to your home to provide medical care for your child. Instead of frequent trips to a clinic or a longer hospital stay, your child gets skilled care in the place they’re most comfortable, while you stay involved in every step.

What Our Nurses Will Help With

Our nurses will help help with tasks including, but not limited to:

  • Medication administration and management
  • Respiratory care, including oxygen, nebulizers and suctioning
  • Feeding tube care (G-tube, GJ-tube and NG tube)
  • Wound and skin care
  • Seizure monitoring and response
  • Support for chronic conditions such as asthma and diabetes
  • Monitoring and reporting changes to your child’s care team

Who Is Pediatric Home Health Nursing For?

Pediatric home health nursing is for children who need care from a licensed nurse but are well enough to be at home. Every child is different, and many families we talk to fit more than one of these:

  • Children with complex or chronic conditions, such as seizure disorders, cerebral palsy, heart or lung conditions, or diabetes
  • Babies and children recently home from the hospital or NICU, including preemies who need extra monitoring
  • Children who rely on medical technology, like a trach, ventilator, oxygen or a feeding tube
  • Children who need regular medications or treatments that are hard to manage alone
  • Families who need a trained partner at home, so parents can rest, work or care for siblings

Frequently Asked Questions About Pediatric Home Health Nursing

When will you start accepting clients?

We're completing state licensing now, with accreditation to follow. Join the waitlist and we'll contact you as soon as we open.

Will we have the same nurse each time?

Our goal is a consistent nurse or small team, so your child gets to know them.

What counties do you serve?

We are still going through licensure and accreditation, but we plan to serve a wide range of Northern California, including Alameda, Contra Costa, El Dorado, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Santa Clara, Solano, and Yolo Counties.

Can you help when my child is coming home from the hospital?

Yes. Hospital-to-home transition is a service we plan to offer. We hope to coordinate with your child's discharge team so care starts smoothly.
